As most of you already know, I like to give favor to the people and personalities that are a part of Chariti Gent Coaching + Consulting. All of you are the heartbeat behind my business, and the reason why I love what I do SO MUCH. In turn, I want to show you a little love. This week the love comes in the form of a success story about one of my former clients, Stefanie Kushner.
Stefanie Kushner is a highly-involved, BUSY mother of three school age children. In between making sure her family is well cared for and her volunteer work is scheduled and carried out, Stefanie enjoys being the President and co-founder of the Internet’s premier eco-bag boutique site: BagInspiration.com. As Stefanie puts it:
BagInspiration started with a passion for handbags and the desire to share how unique and stylish eco friendly bags could be. I wanted a business that would make a difference in women’s lives, something I could be proud of and also work around my busy family.
Stefanie started BagInspiration in 2010 and, two years later, was beginning to “get itchy.” She held a strong desire to grow the company from a “nice sideline business” to a full-force, internet-based dynamo! While the foundational elements were in place for the most part, what Stefanie lacked was the “outside voice” to reassure her that her gut instincts about her business were on the right track, and she wanted someone to give her objective, no-nonsense feedback about her company and where it was likely headed.
Today, BagInspiration looks and feels much different than it did when Stefanie and I started working together two years ago—for the better! BagInspiration continues to be a growing and exciting business. Thank you, Stefanie, for reminding us that 99% of business success begins with self-confidence and a strong belief in what you do. Here’s Stefanie’s story.
Before I came to coaching, I was struggling with where I wanted BagInspiration to go, as well as how I was going to get it to that place.
I decided to hire Chariti Gent Coaching and Consulting because I knew right away that I had a connection with Chariti and that with her insight and positive energy would help me see where I wanted to go. I also felt like Chariti had the tools to get to know me better than I know me and to help me use my strengths and recognize my weaknesses. Chariti also has great connections and was willing to share them when she thought it would really help me.
I know my behavioral style and how I am a collaborator, which makes running a business on my own that much more difficult. But, that doesn’t mean I couldn’t do it. I realized that I needed to surround myself with people that can help me in the areas I most need help.
What’s the most important thing you have learned about yourself through coaching, and how will you integrate this into your daily life and work going forward?
Through coaching with you, I learned that I have qualities that I can use to make my business a success. I am a stronger leader than I think, and I have the ability to run this business by myself. I use that to help me when I am stuck at making a decision and really want someone to bounce ideas off of. I dig deep to realize I can do this on my own, this is my business, and I need to make the decision myself.
What are your accomplishments, achievements, and things you want to celebrate as a result of coaching?
The biggest accomplishment is realizing where I want to take BagInspiration. It was a great journey when we did the visualization exercise to see myself 20 years from now and see what I want to get out of this business and how I want to get there. Now, I know how to sit back and see where I’m at, ask myself ‘is this where I want to be and will it lead me to where I want to go?’ I’m not good at looking at the big picture but if I don’t I will end up on the wrong trajectory.
What gifts did you receive from coaching with Chariti Gent?
A renewed sense of confidence in what I am doing. I was wavering about giving up my business but I have a new energy that has come with this new sense of confidence and I’m so excited to see where it will lead me!

I would recommend Chariti Gent to EVERYONE! Chariti has an amazing ability to read people and understand them down to the core of their personality. Her positive energy flows over the phone and I think she can help anyone find their path and figure out how they can get there!
